Parsons Mule Train

A NOTE FROM KELLY PARSONS

In 2000, my husband, Tom, and I made the decision to replant the vineyard where we live, replacing some very old Zinfandel vines with Pinot Noir and expanding from four to eight acres. Three years later, we began selling our grapes to Siduri, and we've been proud to work together ever since.

Siduri winemaker Matt Revelette enjoys being among the vines as much as we do. He shares our commitment to caring for the land, so when we use techniques such as grazing sheep, planting no-till cover crops, and minimizing herbicides, he's all for it. In fact, our sheepherding dog, Luna, might be Matt's biggest fan.

When harvest time arrives, we respect Matt's expertise and work closely together to find the perfect moment to pick the grapes. After all, balance is everything—from the vineyard to the lab, and from the barrel to the bottle.
