DESCRIPTION

The 2022 Siduri Willamette Valley Pinot Noir comes from vineyards in two distinctive appellations within the Willamette Valley: Yamhill-Carlton and Eola-Amity - plus a third vineyard in the Southern Willamette Valley, Maple Grove, that adds structure and richness. These three areas all bring different attributes to the blend and give us a broad range of flavors, accented by spice and earth notes, that blend to create a complex wine that is simultaneously rich and zippy – the best of all possible worlds!

What’s not to love about an aromatic combination of Bing cherries, cheesecake and a bittersweet dark chocolate? Things flip on the palate, with tarter red cherries and cacao nibs dueling with spicy nutmeg and balsa for flavor supremacy. Fortunately, a muscular set of tannins is up to the task of standing up to all that fruit."

There’s a ripeness at lower sugar levels and the fruit creates naturally balanced wines with elegance and finesse.

Long, warm, and generally dry summer days, a mix of continental and coastal climates with influences from the Van Duzer Corridor.

The well-draining hills rise above the valley and provide a mix of red, black, and blue fruit with earthy overtones.

Seared and oven-roasted elk backstrap, rubbed with thyme and peppercorns, paired alongside Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is basically an immediate teleportation into the heart of Willamette Valley. There is a woodsy, gamy, earthy interaction with all the flavors on the table that’s impossible to step away from. Plus, the way the elk pops the fruit out of the glass on the Pinot Noir is exceptional.
