DESCRIPTION

Once in the glass, the 2021 Hapgood Vineyard Pinot Noir shows ripe black cherry, boysenberry, and hints of wilted rose, plus a rich yet silky palate of pomegranate and blackberry with subtle earthy notes through the finish. Typically, the last Pinot Noir site picked by Siduri, Hapgood is never shy - with no hard edges and deftly balanced fruit, acid, earth, and tannin. Comprised mostly of clone 459 rounded out by Mt. Eden, the 2021 vintage of Hapgood is drinking exceptionally well right out of the gate and its seamless structure will age effortlessly.

"
Matured for 10 months in 25% new French oak, the 2021 Pinot Noir Hapgood Vineyard has layered aromas of cranberries and blackberries with nuances of allspice, tea leaves, forest floor and spicy undertones. The medium-bodied palate features concentrated, crunchy fruit with generous yet integrated new oak character. It has a silky texture, mouthwatering acidity and a long, spicy finish."
