DESCRIPTION

Sharing a fence with the renowned Garys' Vineyard, the Soberanes vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands was planted by the Pisoni and Franscioni families in 2006. The 2021 vintage in the Santa Lucia Highlands was one of the finest in recent memory – the weather was mild and uneventful throughout the growing season. The fermentations immediately pushed aromatics reminiscent of a bramble thicket – beautiful, dark, berry fruit. Hints of clove and licorice also emerged in the wines later during barrel ageing, with rich blackberry baking spice and chestnut coming through in the final blend. The 2021 vintage is without a doubt one of the best we have seen, and we are proud to share it with you.

"
The 2021 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard, matured for 10 months in 40% new French oak, has aromas of cranberry, red cherry, mushroom powder, iodine and potpourri. The medium-bodied palate features generous, spicy fruit delivered in a silky, seamless frame, and it has a long, spicy finish."
