Hawk's View Vineyard

In the Chehalem Mountains AVA, where Hawks View Vineyard is located, the fantastic 2016 growing season provided the wines with something they often seem to be missing – weight and depth. The Chehalem Mountains always produces lively wines, with lots of red fruit flavors. But in 2016, these red fruits are balanced out with more concentration and hints of darker flavors as well. We also worked to add some complexity to this wine through the use of whole clusters in the fermentation. This led to more herbal aspects as well as some hints of earth. We love this Pinot Noir for drinking now with food. It should age incredibly well, but there are a multitude of reasons to pop a bottle now.
