The Hapgood Vineyard lies on a very gentle north-facing incline with slightly more clay loam than other sandier sites in the area, lending to a denser palate expression. Typically the last Pinot Noir site picked by Siduri, Hapgood is never shy — with no hard edges and deftly balanced fruit, acid, earth, and tannin. The wine is incredibly fresh, with velvet tannins and that beautiful, bright, oceanic freshness that Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noirs provide.
