DESCRIPTION

The Soberanes Vineyard – which is basically contiguous with the Garys' Vineyard – has really found its stride and the 2019 showcases the beautiful blue fruit notes that the Santa Lucia Highlands is famous for. With no shortage of color or weight, the wine bursts from the glass with fresh blueberry and blackberry notes, with a zip of acidity focusing the wine and providing great freshness. Composed entirely of 667 clone from an upper section and lower section of the vineyard, this wine did not need any whole cluster to add structure and benefitted from 40% new French oak. I can't wait to see how this wine develops with a few years in bottle, as it is extremely promising now!
