DESCRIPTION

The Siduri Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is sourced from a diverse array of sub-AVAs and neighborhoods that are harmoniously layered into a singular expression of this exceptional place to grow Pinot Noir. The Green Valley AVA, as well as the neighborhoods of The Laguna, Santa Rosa Plains, and Sebastopol Hills, are brought together to showcase the classic dark cherry and cola notes that Russian River Valley Pinot Noirs exhibit in spades.

Russian River Valley

WELL-DRAINED SOILS, NEIGHBORHOOD DIVERSITY, COLA NOTES FOR DAYS

Winemaker’s Favorite Aspect:

There are so many ways to express the Russian River Valley through the diversity of microclimates and soil types—it’s a huge sandbox to play in.

Climate:

Warm days and foggy nights

Regional Overview:

Sub-AVAs and neighborhoods have different expressions, but the common themes are cola notes, richness, and soft tannins.

FOOD PAIRINGS:

Beef “Osso Buco” with porcini mushrooms is a superb match for the richer, weightier style of our Russian River Valley. Sauteed mushrooms and Russian River Pinot Noir are already a classic combo, and this pairing steps it up in a major way!
