DESCRIPTION

Named for the Babylonian goddess of wine, Siduri specializes in cool-climate Pinot Noir. Its Barbieri Vineyard Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley pulls you in with its hedonistic mix of dark cherry, sandalwood and spice notes. Aged 11 months in 40% new French oak barrels to soften the tannins, this cellar-worthy Pinot Noir showcases what a beautiful vintage this turned out to be.

Russian River Valley

WELL-DRAINED SOILS, NEIGHBORHOOD DIVERSITY, COLA NOTES FOR DAYS

Winemaker’s Favorite Aspect:

There are so many ways to express the Russian River Valley through the diversity of microclimates and soil types—it’s a huge sandbox to play in.

Climate:

Warm days and foggy nights

Regional Overview:

Sub-AVAs and neighborhoods have different expressions, but the common themes are cola notes, richness, and soft tannins.

FOOD PAIRINGS:

Beef “Osso Buco” with porcini mushrooms is a superb match for the richer, weightier style of our Russian River Valley. Sauteed mushrooms and Russian River Pinot Noir are already a classic combo, and this pairing steps it up in a major way!
