The huge diurnal swings in this area of Anderson Valley provide fresh, crunchy fruit and soaring aromatics. Clone 667 displays fresh strawberries, violets, and pennyroyals on a solid frame with ample polished tannins. The Calera clone — which sets a relatively juicy cluster — provides fresh cherry and rose petals, with an undercurrent of acid that blends seamlessly with the 667 clone. Weighty through the midpalate yet elegant, the 2022 Edmeades Vineyard Pinot Noir is set up for a long life in the cellar.
