Also a ripe rub/-purple color, the 2021 Pinot Noir Skycrest Vineyard is highly expressive and forward in the glass, with aromas of boysenberry, extract cedar, and leather. Full-bodied and broad, it has expansive tannins, along with notes of ripe plum fruit, turned forest floor, and tea leaf. It’s meaty and chewy, with a lot of structure. Drink 2025-2032.

    About This Wine

The high-altitude Skycrest Vineyard in Mendocino County’s rugged and remote Anderson Valley is a rocky site that produces deep and structured Pinot Noirs. Located just 18 miles from the Pacific coastline, the vineyard climbs from 1,400 to 2,000 feet and features a patchwork of small blocks. The Siduri Skycrest Pinot Noir is a lively, aromatically-charged wine that showcases the beauty of the site.

A combination of 667 and 777 from the higher altitude blocks in this vineyard produces very small berries that are intense and concentrated. Skycrest also benefits from an extended barrel aging of 14 months that softens the tannins and marries the layered flavors.
