The Arbre Vert Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountain Appellation in the northern Willamette Valley. These older Pinot Gris vines are truly special. They are own-rooted, meaning that they haven’t been grafted onto any rootstock. And they are dry-farmed. This combination works very well in Oregon and we are fortunate to have such a fantastic source for our Pinot Gris.
The 2015 Arbre Vert Vineyard Pinot Gris was fermented and aged mostly in stainless steel and a touch of older oak. This wonderful wine shows a fresh, lively fruit character along with hints of earth and chalk and a great, full finish. It’s a complete and truly complex wine.
