2020 Anderson Valley Skycrest Vineyard Pinot Noir

2020 Pinot Noir
93 Points
A heady perfume of oak spices like clove, cedar, cinnamon and toast leads to a palate full of very ripe black fruits, mint and dark chocolate. Moderate tannins, good concentration and a full body encourage a lingering finish. Best through at least 2028.
About This Wine
The high-altitude Skycrest Vineyard in Mendocino County’s rugged and remote Anderson Valley is a rocky site that produces deep and structured Pinot Noirs. Located just 18 miles from the Pacific coastline, the vineyard climbs from 1,400 to 2,000 feet and features a patchwork of small blocks. The Siduri Skycrest Pinot Noir is a lively, aromatically-charged wine that showcases the beauty of the site.
Our first vintage of this wine, it benefits from an extended barrel aging of 14 months that soften the tannins and marries the layered flavors of black cherry, anise, and cocoa, while expressing aromas of blackberry, plum and clove.
