About This Wine
Effusive blackberry and blueberry jam aromatics are complemented by toffee and forest floor notes in this not-so-shy wine. Seductively juicy and rich on the palate, the bramble fruits are tightly wound by brisk acidity and lush tannins. Amazingly full bodied for a modest alcohol of 14.2%, it’s very tempting to put too fine a point on it – this Pinot Noir is just pure deliciousness. This low-vigor site allows for extended maturation on the vine in the cool Santa Rita Hills, and 2018 allowed us to push ripeness without high sugars or losing acidity – the results in the glass are very satisfying.
