Winemakers' Comments
Sometimes plans change. Our original plan had been to release the 2005 Rosella’s Pinot Noir sometime in the spring (much like last year). However, in tasting thru some of the newly bottled 2005 Pinots we were tremendously surprised (and incredibly pleased) at how fantastic the Rosella’s Pinot was tasting just after bottling. The 2005 Siduri Rosella’s Vineyard Pinot Noir is truly a product of the cool 2005 growing season with the grapes picked in late September at fairly modest sugar levels but at great levels of fruit and flavor development. It is a blend of 4 different clones of Pinot Noir— Dijon clones 828 and 777 along with the Pommard Clone and the Pisoni clone.

91 POINTS, CELLAR SELECTION
Rating: (90-92)
Substantial as well as soft and velvety-textured, the 2005 Pinot Noir Rosella’s Vineyard reveals a medium plum/ruby color, moderate body, sweet tannin, good acidity, and loads of pomegranate, cherry, raspberry, and forest floor notes. Drink this charmer over the next 5-6 years.
