Winemakers’ Comments
The Pisoni Vineyard in Monterey’s Santa Lucia Highlands is owned by legendary Pinot Noir guru Gary Pisoni. Siduri enjoys the unique opportunity as the only winery (other than Pisoni) to have access to three different blocks within the vineyard: Big Block, Hermanos, and Tina’s. Year after year, the grapes we select from Pisoni Vineyard produce some of our darkest, richest and most sublime Pinot Noir.
This wine was cold soaked for 5-7 days, fermented up to 14 days and aged in 100% French oak fro nine months.
Our 2003 Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir is a deeply colored, rich and intense wine showing layers of black fruit, blueberry and oak tinged creaminess. Focused tannins and concentrated flavors lead to a long, rich finish. Drink now through 2010.

Accolades for the 2003 Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir

92 Points -
Dark, rich, intense and concentrated, with plush blueberry, wild berry and black cherry fruit that's well-focused, deep and persistent. Shows off plenty of rich tannic strength, but in the end it's the fruit that shines through. Drink now through 2008. - (JL)

Rating: 92 - The beautiful 2003 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard boasts complex notes of flowers, black fruits, licorice, forest floor, and spice box. With full-bodied sweetness, richness, and opulence, long, concentrated, heady flavors, impressive purity, and a layered mouthfeel as well as aftertaste, it should drink well for 5-7 years.

Score: 90 -
The 2003 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard exhibits a saturated ruby/purple-tinged color in addition to a sweet bouquet of forest floor, new saddle leather, black fruits, and damp earth. This broad, expansive, richly flavorful beauty is still an infant, but it promises to evolve gracefully for 5-7 years.
- Robert Parker

Deep, full, lots of concentrated fruit, slight pine notes, good structure—textbook Pisoni.
